WILDCAT TENT SET TO GREET ALUMNI, BOOSTERS AND MAJOR DONORS

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. Adding to an already festive Bethune-Cookman College homecoming celebration, the Office of College Advancement will host the Wildcat Tent, featuring an Alumni/Booster Family Fun Hospitality area and a private reception for major donors to the College on Saturday, November 1 in the Daytona Beach Municipal Stadium parking lot.

Opening at 1 p.m. and operating until the end of the first quarter of the homecoming football game pitting B-CC and North Carolina A&T, the vast 60 foot by 40 foot tent  will feature food, fun and games and an appearance by on-air personality JoJo of Orlando’s Star 94.5 FM.

“This is our way of showing our alumni, friends and donors that we appreciate their support,” said Pat James, B-CC’s Director of Alumni Relations. “We’re also hoping to reacquaint ourselves with some of the alumni by allowing them to update their information.”

Bethune-Cookman College President Dr. Oswald P. Bronson Sr. and other college officials will be on hand to greet the major donors.

“B-CC depends upon the generous support of its donors,” said Sonja Lewis, Director of Major Gifts. “We want to thank and recognize them as often and in as many ways as possible. Homecoming is a perfect venue to do so”

The Adam’s Mark Daytona Beach Resort, 100 North Atlantic Ave. , will serve as the official alumni host hotel and will be the gathering place for all alumni events beginning Friday, October 31. An “old school” welcome for alumni and friends will be held Friday beginning at 2 p.m. at Ruby’s Restaurant, 629 West International Speedway Blvd. (across from the Mary McLeod Bethune Performing Arts Center ).
