BETHUNE-COOKMAN COLLEGE TO
HOST INTERNET2 DAY
DAYTONA BEACH,
FLA- Bethune-Cookman College in conjunction with Embry-Riddle
University Aeronautical University will host an Internet2 Day on
Tuesday, November 11, from 8 am to 12:30 p.m. in the Willie Miller
Instructional Center located on the ERAU campus.
Internet2 is a higher education consortium that
runs an advanced online research network. B-CC and ERAU were awarded
a national grant from the National Science Foundation that took
effect January of 2003 that would allow both institutions to join
205 other universities in partnership with government and industry.
The goal of Internet2 is to recreate the
partnership among academia, industry and government that developed
today´s Internet in its early stages. This event will advertise the
new Internet2 connection and generate a broader user base on campus,
as well as help create interest among potential applications
developers.

Bethune-Cookman
