BETHUNE-COOKMAN REOPENS PRESIDENTIAL SEARCH

DAYTONA BEACH, FL –Bethune-Cookman College Board of Trustees Chairman Dr. J. Stanley Marshall announced today that contract negotiations with Dr. Gloria Bromell-Tinubu have been terminated.  The Trustee Board selected Dr. Bromell-Tinubu on November 3, 2003 for the position of President of Bethune-Cookman College, effective July 1, 2004, subject to successful contract negotiations.

The Presidential Search committee has reopened the search for a fifth president for the College.  B-CC’s current president, Dr. Oswald P. Bronson, Sr., is expected to retire from his 29-year term on June 30, 2004.

Bethune-Cookman is a comprehensive college, which offers degrees in liberal arts as well as professional fields, such as business, education and nursing.
