RASA AARON CROWNED MISS B-CC 2004-05

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Rasa Aaron, a Biology major from Cleveland, Ohio, has been crowned Miss Bethune-Cookman College for the 2004-2005 school year.

Rasa Aaron

The 21 year-old junior and youngest of two enjoys singing, dancing, and creative writing. Her outlets for her talents involve membership in the Pre-Med Society, 14 K dancers for the B-CC Marching Band, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and a peer tutor for Biology and Chemistry. Aaron has also been crowned queen of Sigma Alpha Iota Music Fraternity for Women.

`` I was shocked, excited, and I panicked!'' Aaron said when asked her first reaction at being told of her victory.

Aaron is already brainstorming on activities she would like to incorporate for the upcoming school year. She plans to spearhead a ``Lil' Miss B-CC'' pageant and hold ``class mixers''' for students to become betteracquainted.

One of Aaron's primary goals during her tenure as Miss B-CC is to strengthen the bridge between the campus and community. ``I would like to make Miss B-CC more accessible to the community.''

Aaron reflects on the Bible passage, ``All things work together for the good to him that love God,'' as she continues the legacy of Miss B-CC.
