BETHUNE-COOKMAN COLLEGE PREPARES FOR 2004 COMMENCEMENT EVENTS

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Bethune-Cookman College is preparing for its annual Spring graduation. With approximately 240 individuals to receive bachelor of arts and science degrees, the commencement ceremony has been set for Monday, May 3 at 10:00 a.m. in the Ocean Center.

Events leading up to Commencement include:

  • Service of Consecration will be held on Wednesday, April 28 in Heyn Memorial Chapel on the  Bethune-Cookman College campus at 7:00 P.M.
  • Saturday, May 1, the Nurses Pinning/Capping Ceremony will begin at 4:00 P.M. in Heyn Memorial Chapel.
  • Wreath Laying Service will take place at the Founder's gravesite at 8:00 A.M., Sunday, May 2.
  • The Senior, Alumni and Parents breakfast is also scheduled for Sunday, May 2, at 8:15 A.M. in the President's Dining Room.
  • The Baccalaureate ceremony will be held in the Mary McLeod Bethune Performing Arts Center Sunday, May 2 at 3:00 P.M.
  • Dedication of the Larry R. Handfield Music Annex Building at 5:00 P.M.
