ROBINSON-OTURU TO PERFORM FREE CONCERT AT B-CC

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla – Bethune-Cookman College music professor Dr. Gail Robinson-Oturu highlights a free concert sponsored by the B-CC Office of Cultural Affairs to be held Tuesday, March 16 at 7:30 p.m. in Heyn Memorial Chapel on the B-CC campus.

Dr. Gail Robinson-Oturu 

Winner of the 1999-2000 National Opera Association Biennial Dissertation Competition for an outstanding dissertation in opera, Robinson-Oturu directs the Opera Workshop at B-CC. Praised for her artistry, technique and interpretation, Robinson-Oturu is no stranger to the opera stage, appearing as a guest soloist in oratorio throughout the United States, Italy, Romania, France and Mexico. 

In addition to her solo performances around the world, Robinson-Oturu has performed with the London Symphony Orchestra celli at the Florida International Festival

Joining Dr. Robinson will be accompanist Carol Beck Belden, with featured performances by Mezzo Soprano Jane Christenson, Tenor Curtis Rayam and Baritone Jean-Ronald LaFond.
